They have sone good snacks and drinks, but the prices are highway robbery. A bubble tea should not cost 8 dollars on any planet.

It is in this establishment that I had the pleasure to drink the foulest, most horrible thing I've ever tasted. Now, I know what you think: "it can't possibly be that bad, this guy must be exaggerating". I must assure you that I am not. First thing first, I came at Juno bakery to eat something. My choice landed on a sweet coconut brioche (which to be fair did not taste great but that is besides the point). Eating the brioche led to an intense thirst, and, not especially being a coffee enthusiast, I decided to try out one of the import asian drinks in the shop. Critical mistake. Judging the high sugar sodas to potentially be counter productive in quenching my thirst, I picked a non sweet iced tea. Maybe the matcha one could be good ??? The truth could have not been further. It was beyond awful. Horrible. I want you to imagine what it would be like to drink burnt wood. Cause this is what it tastes like. Even pitching my nose as I drank it did nothing. Definitely my most poorly invested $4.77.

We ordered a mocha sponge cake. The cake was very dry and hard. It’s not moisture and soft. I suspect the cake has been there a couple of days. The bakery itself was inviting on the major busy street. But needs to be more maintained for cleanliness. I was very disappointed with the cake experience. The drink we ordered was overly sweet as well. Staff was friendly and service were quick on a Sunday afternoon.

I’ve been on the hunt for a truly (and most importantly, CONSISTENTLY) great bakery for awhile between where I live (Baltimore) and where I work (Frederick), and I think that hunt has come to an end. Not only is Juno centrally located downtown and only a short walk from my office, but they’ve absolutely reinvented the entire concept of a bakery itself. Juno completely nails everything you wish you’d find in a bakery but might never have been fully aware you wanted. People typically hit bakeries for breakfast. Breakfast is in the morning, which is, at least for me, the most terrifyingly stressful part of the day. You’re wrestling traffic jams and honking horns, possible sudden construction or accident delays and work emails accumulating by the second. And if you’ve got a family? Times that by 100. Enter Juno. An Asian-inspired fusion between “sweet shop” aesthetic and traditional French presentation, Juno totally expands the fundamental metrics between those ideas in favor of humanistic approach. The vibe is ALWAYS chill. It’s self-service, largely, and you have the option of placing your coffee order and THEN picking your treats from a sprawling cornucopia of highly diverse freshly baked amazingness served “buffet” style. I have never once encountered a line, but the sheer volume of options shows the model is succeeding. Juno offers both savory and sweet treats with a heated cabinet (that I immediately make a bee line to) of warm inventive concoctions like a jalapeno-bacon and ham brioche roll to a cheese-infused “eggy in a bready” experiment with bacon that absolutely slams. Their strawberry croissant (and really all of their croissants) uphold and even subtly innovate traditional French styles. It’s subversive, but its design is functional, not whimsical. The atmosphere is definitively urban with Japanese flair, but plays up the sleek functionally and adorability of something you might find in Tokyo’s Shibuya ward. The decor is delightfully space age, but maintains a communal warmth. The central feature, a large series of displays of baked goods of all ranges of colors and shapes, remains consistently stocked and allows traffic to flow seamlessly, empowering the customer’s autonomy in creating their perfect order without scrutinizing a menu. What you see is what you get, literally, and if you wanted to, you could just take a bite right there. The music, which permeates but is not loud is eclectic, not aggressive. It tends to range between current warped indie pop and slightly left of the dial classics, but if it’s not someone’s playlist, it’s a damn good Muzak station. This just adds to the high-functioning atmosphere, creating a space that feels safe and warm, but also a little intriguing and very cool. Coupled with the staff who are extremely kind, very quick on their feet and highly accommodating, you start to wonder why so many other businesses take so much for granted. In addition to the mind-blowing array of pastries on offer, Juno also specializes in Boba (Japanese milk-tea with tapioca pearls) showcasing a delicious variety of textures and flavors presented in novel ways, such as the Matcha Seafoam option which cools any mid-afternoon summer palette perfectly (and is good for you to boot). Juno also makes full on cakes. Check their website to see the stunning examples of both their take on classics and homegrown concoctions that look (almost) too good to tear into. Cakes are made to order and are perfect for whatever occasion you’re looking to celebrate, especially if you’re looking to captivate your guests with something different. I rarely ever take the time to write proper reviews, but everyone once in awhile somewhere exceeds my expectations and deserves to be celebrated as an excellent establishment. Juno succeeds in almost every way. Give them a piece of your morning (or any time) if you’re nearby, you won’t regret it.

I've only been once but had a great experience with my coffee which is a little complicated for me since I'm a little picky. They attended all my demands amd were really nice, specially this girl whose name I cannot remember but she told she's from Valencia, Spain. It was great to find someone from Spain as myself.

Everything’s looks great! The macaroons taste can be better. Service - it took a long time until we got the sunset drink.

I had a pleasure of visiting this local bakery in downtown Frederick this morning. My partners waited to get some sweet for breakfast. The employees were very nice and polite. Especially this one young asian lady, she reminded of Sophia from Katseye, she recommended me a few things to try and they were all delicious. I also noticed that she was also the one who made us amazing coffee. I will be back soon
