When my mechanic retired I was hearing a lot of good suggestions for Ridgley Auto Care & I have definitely choose that right place my car.

Make sure you get them to communicate BEFORE authorizing repairs. I took a 2022 Toyota Camry to Ridgely for an AC refrigerant leak. They needed to replace a leaking aluminum tube and recharge the refrigerant - quoted $700 which was STEEP but OK. When they called me to advise that the work was DONE and the vehicle was ready, they THEN let me know that they had made a mistake on the cost of the refrigerant and that the total would actually be $925! And so they did the work and raised their price by more than 25% WITHOUT COMMUNICATING with me first. This was their mistake - they need to be sure what materials are required before doing the work. Based on other reviews, I really was expecting better service from this independent garage.

Joe is an honest man. He’ll tell you what you need and has never tried to oversell me. His team does a good job. That’s what keeps me coming back here.

When our family friend and shop owner retired, we really thought we would never find a mechanic who we could trust and count on. But then my brother-in-law told me about Ridgley Auto Care Center. What a relief! Joe is fantastic! I have total confidence in all their work. I’ve had several big jobs with this shop on both my Jeep and Nissan and I would not go anywhere else.

Respectful, helpful, affordable, upfront and honest.

I’ve wanted, to see if I can simply come in to get a bulb fix and perhaps a tune up, just basically look over the car In general. Some places require an appointment etc. just to avoid wasting time waiting etc. They won’t even answer the phone. So, I’m not sure about these folk. Who knows. Some say avoid the “big companies”, but at least they have folks who answer the phone.

I brought my 2012 Honda Odyssey to Ridgley Auto Care Center for an alternator and timing belt replacement, along with the water pump and serpentine belt. The entire experience was excellent. The service was professional, the team was courteous and clearly skilled, and the pricing was very reasonable—better than several other quotes I received. It’s hard to find an auto shop you can really trust, but Ridgley Auto Care Center has definitely earned mine. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, high-quality automotive service.

I can’t recommend this place enough! I always feel completely secure bringing my car here, knowing I’m getting honest advice and fair pricing. One time, I was worried about a squeaking noise from my brakes and brought my car in just to be safe. They took it for a test drive, checked everything thoroughly, and let me know that my brakes were totally fine and had over a year of life left. They could have easily told me I needed new ones (like so many other shops might have), but instead they were upfront and honest—which really says a lot about their integrity. It’s hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, but I genuinely believe this shop is reputable and has their customers’ best interests in mind. I won’t take my car anywhere else!

Took my car there several times just to simply fix a tire that kept losing air. Everytime they told me it was fixed and charged way too much for, what I considered, doing nothing. Never again.

I've been taking my Accord to Ridgely Auto for a few years now. I'm glad it was recommended to me by a coworker! Their prices are reasonable/fair, and their work is honest. Trust is important in any line of work. I would recommend them to anyone I know who is having a car issue!

I have always had a great experience with Joe and his business. Since moving from PA to MD, I’ve gone through three cars, and finding a reliable, honest mechanic wasn’t easy. But I found one here! Joe has always been polite, professional, and transparent, providing me with all available options before proceeding with any work. From routine oil changes to major repairs like engine block replacement, their work has been consistently excellent. My car runs smoothly without issues, and their pricing is very reasonable. If you're looking for a trustworthy and skilled mechanic, I highly recommend Joe and his team!

No professionalism, hung up the phone as I was in the middle of explaining my issue. Edit (Reply to merchant): Clearly you know nothing about the call. There was no mention of janitorial services nor was i selling anything to you. I literally have a cat as my pfp, in what way does that tell you about a professional business? As you stated, “This is an auto repair shop” i called for a REPAIR issue but your employees did not have the courtesy of even hearing me out. Also, I only called once, and judging by this reply, this is all i need to know to not inquire with you guys ever again. Have a good day.

Joe has been servicing the Acura and the two Hondas in the family for many years. I have known many auto mechanics over the past 50 years (I usually drive more than 30,000 miles per year in the Baltimore Annapolis Washington DC region), Joe is one of the best mechanics I have ever known.

Kind, honest, helpful and good at translating mechanic to non-mechanic speak. I have used this location for different cars over the past 10 years and still think they are great humans.

I've know Joe the owner for many years. He is very honest and they do good work for a fair price. You can't go wrong when you go to Joe for all your auto repair needs.

Really appreciate the quick service to replace a sideview mirror. Dealership wanted $1,100. Amazon had the part for $100. Joe and team installed for $145. Very happy customer!!
