Excellent in all regards

Based on my experience, they tell you an estimate, you would like to hear, but once you're there, they change the estimate to a higher price. Details of my experience: When I went for an estimation on Wednesday (09/16), I was not in a rush and Kaizen was not busy. So, the estimator came out to the vehicle, inspected the repair job, and gave a range of $100-$150 to fix my vehicle's door latch. I made an appointment, because it seemed like a fair price. Today (09/30/26), the work was completed and they gave me a new price of around $190. On the paperwork, I signed it stated that this was an ESTIMATE TOTAL. So, I'm thinking that this is the highest range possible but it could still be within $100-$150 because I was working with the same estimator. Once the work was done, they still charged me, $194 (which included a 3% charge for using a debit card). Now you might think that it's acceptable but it's not. The estimate quote given when the estimator looked at the repair job was $100-$150. Best business practices understand that 10% above is the highest price to charge a customer. So, I should not have been charged higher than $165. They argue that it was the standard price on the computer. Since there's a the standard price based on the vehicle, then the estimator should have looked up the cost on Wednesday (09/16). The job looks decent, yes the latch is repaired but there was not a courtesy rinse off. (My vehicle's door was unable to close due to the latch, so I haven't been able to wash it without water trinkling inside.) I'm glad it's done. However, I believe the estimators need to learn how to estimate a price within a better price range.
