20 Prompts to Audit How AI Describes Your Business
How to use these prompts
Run each prompt (replace the brackets) in each AI tool, and record the answers. Look for three things: are you named/recommended, is what it says accurate, and who your competitors are. Because AI answers vary, run them more than once and note the pattern, not a single response. Speed the whole audit up with the free AI visibility checker.
Recommendation prompts (are you named?)
- “What are the best [service] companies in [city]?”
- “Who should I hire for [service] near [neighborhood]?”
- “Recommend a reliable [service] in [city].”
- “I need an emergency [service] in [city] tonight — who do you recommend?”
- “What’s a highly-rated [service] business in [city]?”
Description prompts (what does AI say about you?)

- “What does [Your Business] specialize in?”

Accuracy prompts (is the info right?)

- “What is [Your Business]’s rating and how many reviews does it have?”
Competitive prompts (who else shows up?)
- “Compare [Your Business] to other [service] companies in [city].”
- “What are the top 3 [service] providers in [city] and how do they differ?”
- “Who are the main competitors of [Your Business]?”
- “Which [service] company in [city] has the best reviews?”
- “Why might someone choose a competitor over [Your Business]?”
Reading your results
- Not named? Your reputation/visibility needs work — reviews first (why).
- Described inaccurately? Fix your listings and consistency (entity SEO) and consider an llms.txt file.
