Beware. The presence of University vehicles is used to make it seem like this business is on the level. They are not. A worn $25 dollar bolt was not replaced in $5000 repair job. A critical bolt that poses a severe risk at highway speeds if it were to crack. After keeping my car for months, they even held off on replacing the headlight bulb on the “brand new” headlight they installed. Keep away!

They are fine for standard jobs like routine oil change, but they told me out of the blue after an inspection that my brakes were metal on metal, so I needed front brake pad and rotor replacement and quoted $850. At least they were nice and didn't force me to get the work done when I said no. I hadn't felt anything wrong with my brakes so I went to two other shops, and both said my brakes were totally fine (30% and 60%, so not even close to 0%!) and they told me I had been scammed. Unfortunately, I think this place takes advantage of students who don't know about cars, so I'd not go there unless it's for small, routine things like an oil change. The people are nice but I'm not trying to spend $850 or more for something that's completely unnecessary.

This is one of the shops that charges you $250 just to diagnose a problem. Rather than my usual mechanic that will try to quickly diagnose for free. This shop feels predatory, they will try to take all of your money. Do not go here

I have been here multiple times now, and I’ve always received exceptional service every time. Dionte, has served me well every time I’ve come with kindness and integrity. I’m moving a little bit further away, but will be planning to make the drive back just to get these guys to service my car, as I trust them and their judgment. Thanks so much for the great work guys!

This place must have family or friends leave reviews, I've had nothing but bad experiences with them. They act nice and knowledgable up front but then charge 3x. Avoid avoid avoid

Be careful with these false 5 star reviews. I tried this place a few months ago based on how nice some of these reviews seemed, glazing all over this place as nice, "automated," and precise. Well, here are my facts: They pushed $6,700+ of "recommended" work on a car worth less than $4,000. I brought in a 2015 Ford for one small electrical problem. They first tried to charge me $220+ for "Testing Level 1" and then handed me an estimate worth more than the vehicle, with no conclusion about the issue. This was for an alternator complaint, and the bill was 90% completely unrelated to my request. The alternator? Just toss it and buy one at double the average market price. They didn't even bother investigating whether it was a parasitic drain, a ripple, a diode, nothing, until I called back and asked what the heck was going on. Now read the insane cost estimates below, straight off their own printout: - Valve cover gasket: $29.74 part, $625.95 labor <<< INSANE! - Oil separator: $140.32 part, $909.09 labor - Turbo oil supply line: $128.92 part, $1,189.89 labor - Alternator: $1,324.50, roughly double what I was quoted elsewhere Look at the gasket cost. What a joke. These people don't even try to hide their intent. Twenty-nine dollars of parts, six hundred and twenty-six dollars of labor. Nobody spends five hours on a valve cover gasket. That was the one that ended it for me, right off the bat. Then they piled on $862.62 of BG fluid services across the engine, brakes, cooling system and transmission, given that I had just changed those. I came in for a battery charging problem. None of that touched a charging problem. And when I declined the absurd cost, getting my own car back took repeated phone calls. The owner got on the phone with me trying to gaslight me that they had my best interest at heart. I still tried to find common ground and reason with him by pointing out that the alternator options they offered were more than double the market price, and that dude tried to pull the line "we gonna make a profit here, you know." I still remember the nerve and the chill, almost like a "shush shush" tone in his voice on the phone. That cold and relaxed attitude deserved an Oscar. It landed as if he didn't care whether I was going to be the next victim of his scam. Another day, another sucker to rip off. In the end I got my vehicle back, fully operational. Yet they tried to pressure me into taking services they didn't even check before pushing, which I never requested. The stress and the audacity of these folks beat any LA mechanic experience I've had. It took multiple calls to have my vehicle released, but I got it back in the end. What a freaking predatory place.

I recently found a lot of tiny spiders on my car. The staff here quickly found where they had laid their eggs and helped me clean everything out. I’m so grateful they solved the problem for me. Thank you so much for your help!

So! Although they did not have the tire I needed, the lovely people of University Tires & Auto Service had my back. They were able to put a new spare on for me in a quick and efficient timeframe. Diante, who I worked with closely answered all my questions, was super professional, and very kind. Not to mention, he was extremely sympathetic to my situation. Highly recommended him or anyone at this incredible establishment!

Excellent service! They fixed my flat tire quickly and explained the entire process along the way. The staff was professional, helpful, and made sure I understood what was being done. I’ll definitely be using this shop for all my future auto repair needs. Absolutely recommend!

Donte or whatever his name is tried convincing me that the battery my car needs is “rare and would last 4 years” as an AGM battery, which is why the whole service deserved a 200 dollar premium to autozone and a 250 dollar premium to Sam’s Club. Guy also made me pay 28 dollars just to verify that the battery was dead which I already told him it was, and this was before he gave me the 450$ disgusting quote. So they make u pay 28 dollars before they try to scam u and won’t give any pre quote until you agree to that. Horrible place run for your life.
