Employees work automatically without an individual approach to the hair growth features of each client. Some people have whirls in their hair, but here they cut it just according to a pattern. The haircut doesn’t turn out pretty. They are in a hurry to serve the quantity and forget about the quality

July 17, 2026GoogleI went last night to cut and donate my hair. Ended up getting 8 inches cut off to donate and I asked to keep my hair as long as possible after the 8 inches. The stylist did great with that but I have very thick hair and asked for layers so it is not so poofy. My hair ended up being EXTREMELY choppy and not blended whatsoever. After washing it and straightening it once I got home it looked even worse. Ended up having to go to another salon and try to save my hair. I would strongly suggest going elsewhere for a haircuts. The two stylists that were working last night were only concerned about getting clients in and out so they could get out of work by 7:30. Highly unprofessional.

June 24, 2026GoogleAmy gave me the best cut that I have had in a VERY long time! I am in town from CA unexpectedly and needed a haircut very badly. Great Clips had a very short wait and was super affordable. I hit the jackpot getting Amy. I have wavy/curly hair and surprisingly not everyone know how to work with textured hair. Amy was amazing! Not only was she very skilled but she was very kind and genuine and did the perfect amount of talking. I might make this a usually stop on my trips back home!

June 18, 2026Googleyesterday went in for a cut, showed her a pic along with what I'd like done and the stylist did not listen to what I wanted. Just shaved my head (pretty much). Won't be going back to this location again. I come to this location often and everyone is usually great! However, this one stylist in particular did this to me once before and against my judgement, gave her a second chance (should have requested for another) and does the same as the last time!

April 12, 2026GoogleI have a very abnormal haircut that a lot of people have screwed up whenever I come in they take their time to make sure it’s exactly what I want and unlike just about every other place I’ve been to. They’ve never once messed it up and unlike other places I’ve gone to if someone doesn’t feel like they know how to cut my hair because of how strange it is instead of attempting to royally messing it up, they will just ask someone else to so it’s right very professional and welcoming environment. I’ve been going here for years now and will continue to.

April 3, 2026GoogleWe needed haircuts before Easter and a vacation to Texas and our regular hairstylist wasn't going to be in her salon until after the day we left, so we took a chance on Great Clips in Shakopee and had a wonderful experience! My son, 5 yrs old, has a slightly sensitive head... so I was very pleased when he had no complaints! We loved his haircut and style, it was exactly what he wanted. My daughter, 8 yrs old, has a lot of anxiety. Her stylist, Sara(h), was incredible! She was very patient and understanding with my daughter, and super friendly. Very pleased with her cut as well! The wait time got pretty high, but luckily I checked in with the app and only had to wait a few minutes on location. The establishment was clean and staff was welcoming. We would definitely come back here to get cuts!
