We did the date night and had a wonderful time.

Such an amazingly place!!! People are so proficient in technique and there are so many knowledgeable, friendly people willing to share their knowledge and help. It is the best clay community I have ever been a part of and I have been in studios all over the US. They are the absolute best!!! The owner Lyn is very caring and her daughter, MJ has been taking over the leadership of the studio, bringing new ideas and is a youthful addition to the studio. If you are thinking about taking classes in pottery, hand building or sculpture, this is the place ❤️ You can rent studio space here too!!

The Clay Center is very well equipped with very friendly people and a nice congenial atmosphere it makes for a very nice community. I highly recommend them

I'm so glad I got to attend a try me class this weekend. A friend of mine and I went together and it was so much fun. The environment made me feel calm, creative, and at ease instantly. Madeline and Jackson were excellent teachers and I'm looking forward to going back. This is a great way to spend time with someone, while learning and being creative. Thanks everyone at The Clay Center for holding space for this in the community!! 🙏

Must go and do the Try-Me class! Had a great time trying the wheel for the first time and creating something unique and mine in the process. Would definitely try it again and would recommend it for date night or group gatherings.

At the Clay Center in sunny St. Pete, You’ll sculpt and you’ll spin — it’s a crafty retreat! From mugs to cool monsters with wobbly feet, Your hands get all muddy, but the vibe can’t be beat! The teachers are legends with patience and cheer, They’ll help when your vase looks like last Friday’s beer. “Just give it a pinch, and a squish, and a slap,” Till your lopsided bowl’s looking more like a hat! You’ll laugh till you snort as the clay flops around, And somehow your “penguin” looks more like a hound. But no one will judge as your masterpiece flops — They’re too busy crafting their own lumpy props! So come to the Clay Center, give it a whirl, Get covered in clay while you shape, spin, and twirl. You’ll leave with a treasure (or something abstract), And a heart full of joy from the fun you unpacked!

As a ceramics major turned software developer this spot got me back to that happy clay place I forgot ❤️

I took a hand building class (as a pottery novice) and it was such a fun experience. Everyone is so friendly, it's like a little pottery community inside, and they are so patient and helpful. They offer such an encouraging environment, you can feel comfortable expressing your creative side. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I’ve been going to the clay center for about 4 years now and absolutely love it. I’m a hobby potter and throw most of my stuff at home. I mainly use their open studio and outside firing. The entire studio feels like one big family they have welcomed me with open arms and freely offer advise and help when you need it. Whether you’re just starting or have been practicing for a long time I can’t recommend this studio enough.

I have been going to the Clay Centre for 4 years now. Always welcomed by Nola, the studio pet and all artists, new and incredibly seasoned potters. All willing to help and teach. I was only ever sad when I saw a review about a car getting towed for parking there when the studio was closed. It’s studio parking only, no hours posted… so … no parking! Why review a place that you don’t belong to? Trust me, I get it, you have wheelchair parking - my mom was a paraplegic since I was 10 months old and I am now 60- she never parked where it was posted ‘No Parking’ Respect- that’s all. Back to the studio. Come on in. You will love it!

It is a lovely place to be!! Lyn, the owner is wondful and very helpful to the artists that do their work here. And also to visitors and or family members of the artist.!! You want to learn how to become a future artist in clay, pottery, ceramics, This Is The PLACE,!!

This place had handicap vehicles towed out of handicapped space when they were not open and even walked by and said hi,, why? What was the harm? Not good people in any form!!!

We recently started the pottery class, and happened to pass by this place, again, and went in. There are many studios, some artists are there making their arts, some studios are empty. People are friendly and happy. They make and sell too. It's a very nice community.

Huge pottery center with 33 artists studios. Artists are incredibly talented, friendly and love to share their work and tell you how their clay pieces are made (pottery wheel, hand sculpted, Raku fired, different glazing techniques, etc). Lovely gift shop with lots of pottery and clay art sculptures for sale. Bright space and very welcoming. Offers an array of pottery classes. Participates in St. Petersburg Art Walk.
