BrightLocal Pricing in 2026: Plans and What You Really Need
Updated November 2026. Every price below comes from BrightLocal's own pricing page as published at the time of writing. Prices change, so check brightlocal.com/pricing before you buy, and treat the figures here as a snapshot.
BrightLocal is actually three products in one price list
BrightLocal started as a local SEO tool — rank tracking, citation audits, Google Business Profile monitoring — and review management was added later as the top tier of its subscription. That history still shows up in the pricing: you don't buy "BrightLocal," you buy one of three All-in-One plans, and only the most expensive one includes review tools. On top of that, BrightLocal sells a separate pay-as-you-go citation service, a fully managed SEO service, and API access, each priced on its own.
If you only need rank tracking and citation monitoring, the cheapest plan covers you. If you want review requests and review monitoring alongside your local SEO data, you need the top tier — and that's the plan worth comparing against a review-management tool like Tailwind, where local SEO and reviews from $5 per tool means you're not paying for SEO tracking you don't need just to unlock review features, or vice versa.
BrightLocal's three All-in-One plans
All three plans price per location and drop meaningfully with annual billing. Here's what's published for a single location:
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price (per month) | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Track | $41/mo | $369/year ($31/mo) — save 25% | Local AI visibility tracking, rank tracking (100 keywords, 4 competitors), citation tracking, GBP audit |
| Manage | $54/mo | $485/year ($40/mo) — save 25% | Everything in Track, plus AI Insights, Active Sync, GBP Post Scheduler |
| Grow | $65/mo | $584/year ($49/mo) — save 25% | Everything in Manage, plus review monitoring, review requests by email and SMS, and a review showcase widget |
Two things worth noting about that table. First, review management only shows up on Grow — if a BrightLocal rep or a comparison site quotes you the Track or Manage price as "BrightLocal's price" for a reviews tool, that's the wrong plan. Second, the annual discount is real and consistent at roughly 25% across all three tiers, so the headline monthly price overstates what most customers who commit to a year actually pay.
What "per location" means once you have more than one
BrightLocal's pricing scales by location count, and the per-location rate drops as you add locations, with the vendor moving you to custom, "price on request" quotes once you cross roughly 100 locations. For a handful of locations, expect the per-location Grow price to come down from $65 but stay well above the single-location annual rate — BrightLocal doesn't publish the exact multi-location breakpoints, so get a quote for your specific count before budgeting.
A worked example: a 3-location business
Say you run a small chain with three locations and you want review monitoring and requests at every one, plus local SEO tracking you'd use anyway. On BrightLocal's published single-location annual rate, that's three Grow subscriptions at $49/mo each — roughly $147/month, or $1,764/year, before any multi-location discount BrightLocal applies once you contact them. BrightLocal doesn't publish the exact multi-location curve, so the real number for three sites could land lower — but you won't know until you ask.
Compare that with a flat, per-tool model: Tailwind's Full plan bundles reviews, listings, SEO tracking, and AI visibility monitoring together for $50 a month, or $5 a month for any single tool on its own — a number you can read directly off the published rate card without a sales call, rather than waiting on a multi-location quote to find out what three sites would actually cost.
The standalone services: Citation Builder, Managed SEO, API
Separate from the subscription plans, BrightLocal sells three services with their own pricing:
- Citation Builder Service — pay-as-you-go, starting at around $2 per citation, no subscription required. This is for building new citations, not monitoring existing ones.
- Managed Local SEO Service — a fully done-for-you offering starting at $499 per month, where BrightLocal's team runs the SEO work rather than you using the self-serve tools.
- API Solutions — custom-quoted, "speak to our team" pricing for agencies or developers who want to pull BrightLocal's data into their own systems.
None of these three are what most single-location business owners need, but they explain why "BrightLocal pricing" searches turn up such a wide range of numbers — a $2-per-citation quote and a $499-per-month managed service quote are both accurate answers to completely different questions.
What you're actually paying for on the Grow plan
Since Grow is the plan that matters if you're comparing BrightLocal against a reputation tool, it's worth being specific about what the review side includes: monitoring for new reviews, review request campaigns by email and SMS, and a widget to display reviews on your website. It does not include AI-drafted replies as a headline feature the way some dedicated review tools do — BrightLocal's review tooling is built around collection and display more than response management.
That's a reasonable design choice if local SEO is your primary need and reviews are a secondary feature you want bundled in. It's a worse deal if reviews and responses are your primary need and local SEO tracking is the thing you'd be paying for as a side effect of unlocking Grow.
BrightLocal vs. Tailwind: two different bundling philosophies
The honest comparison isn't "which tool is cheaper" — it's which bundling model matches what you actually need. BrightLocal bundles review tools inside its most expensive local SEO tier, so you can't buy reviews alone; you buy Grow, which includes SEO tracking you may not use. Tailwind prices the other way: each tool — reviews, listings, SEO tracking, AI visibility — is priced separately at $5 a month, or every tool together on the Full plan for $50 a month, with the first month free and no credit card required. You can buy just local SEO and AI visibility tracking without paying for review tools, or just review management without paying for SEO tracking, or both.
If you want one platform for local SEO monitoring and don't care about reviews, BrightLocal's Track plan is a reasonable, published-price option. If you want reviews and SEO together and you're fine with reviews living inside the top SEO tier, Grow works. If you'd rather pay only for what you use and skip the "upgrade to the biggest plan to unlock reviews" structure, that's the gap Tailwind is built to fill.
Who each plan actually makes sense for
- Agencies managing rank tracking for multiple clients who don't need review tools in the same login — Track is built for exactly this, and it's the cheapest way into BrightLocal's data.
- Single-location businesses that want GBP management and posting scheduled but aren't actively running review campaigns yet — Manage sits between the two other tiers for this reason.
- Businesses that want local SEO tracking and reviews under one login and don't mind paying the top-tier rate to get both — Grow is the only plan that covers this.
- Businesses that only want reviews, with no interest in rank tracking or citation audits — this is the case BrightLocal's structure doesn't serve well, since there's no reviews-only tier at a lower price.
Questions owners ask
Is BrightLocal's review management available on the cheap plan?
No. Review monitoring, review requests, and the review widget are only on the Grow plan, the most expensive of BrightLocal's three All-in-One tiers. The Track and Manage plans are local SEO only.
Does BrightLocal offer a free trial?
Check BrightLocal's own pricing page for current trial terms before signing up, since trial availability and length are the kind of detail vendors change without much notice.
What's the cheapest way to get review management if I don't need local SEO tracking?
If local SEO tracking isn't a priority, paying for BrightLocal's Grow plan just to get reviews means paying for rank tracking and citation monitoring you won't use. A tool priced per feature — where reviews alone cost $5 a month — avoids that tradeoff entirely.
Does BrightLocal's review plan include AI-drafted replies?
BrightLocal's published feature list for Grow emphasizes collection, monitoring, and display — review requests and a showcase widget — rather than AI-assisted response drafting as a headline capability. If AI-drafted replies you approve before posting are the feature you actually want, confirm what's currently included on Grow before assuming it matches a dedicated review-response tool feature for feature.
How does BrightLocal's pricing compare to a flat per-location rate?
BrightLocal's published rate is per location, with the per-location cost dropping as you commit to annual billing and, separately, as your location count grows into custom-quote territory above roughly 100 sites. That's a fairly standard structure for the category — the detail to watch is that the discount only applies within a single tier. Moving from Track to Grow to get reviews resets you to a higher per-location base price before any volume discount applies on top of it.
