The Original Popcorn House

Love this place! Such great, tasty and good quality popcorn! I recommend trying all the flavors even if one sounds weird! Delicious and fun! Great staff! One more recommendation: if you get some popcorn and don't plan on eating it all in 24 hours, get it packaged in a tin. Otherwise it won't fare as well a few days later out of the paper bag.

We came to this location on our first trip to Fredrick and had the best, most fun experience. To the point where we actually looked at buying more & shipping home. None the less, we were really excited to bring our parents there this past weekend. We were really surprised after all the talking up about this place that we have done, our experience was well beyond disappointing. The popcorn was great, don't get me wrong but the gentleman working the counter, was not interested in all with assisting us and making the experience fun. Every time we asked to try a sample (which we tried a whole bunch) he would only provide 3 kernels.. not 4. There were 4 of us. Small detail, but like.. what?! He looked absolutely miserable to be helping us, and we were the only ones in the shop at the time. He kept asking "IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO FOR YOU TODAY?" - It definitely chased us out after only 10 minutes or so. We weren't interested in being in there and treated like we were taking up his time. We bought our popcorn and left, but we won't be back. What a shame.

Great location in downtown Frederick,Md so many good spots in walking distance! This is the perfect location for popcorn lovers of all ages. Come indulge your taste buds with flavors for every occasion. Take a selfie at the picture area for your social media posts if that’s your thing. I recommend the crabby corn and everything bagel flavors .

Great product. Delicious and a good variety. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

This popcorn shop is the gem of downtown Frederick. The owner is currently trying to sell it. I believe due to not having time to take care of this business as they have other businesses to tend to. I saw it on a business selling website. Please if you are reading this , this is to the owner, please do not sell this gem. You run it so well and everything about it is so unique, I cannot see it ran by anyone other than you. It’s my favorite place to pick up a light night snack. Birthday cake flavor has a special place in my heart. Please stay open.

Totally amazing experience! The popcorn flavors are AMAZING and had a blast trying samples before deciding on some of the BEST movie theatre butter I’ve ever had, the loaded baked potato popcorn is to die for! Thank you for being a part of downtown Frederick!

The lady nyhla was so nice and helpful she gave me her favorites and was so patient, and all the popcorn tastes great!
